💭 The Role
Tripplo is looking for anOperations Manager to work closely with the COO to help scale and drive growth.The Operations Manager will bring strong project management and business acumen, coupled with a high level of operational savvy.
Additionally, the capability to establish and develop long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be a key to the success of the role. The role will focus on South African operations as well as operations in other countries as may be required.
🤝 Responsibilities
Revenue & Collections
- Responsible for revenue and sale generation
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Set revenue and margin targets from the given set of customers
- Drive organic growth by increasing our wallet share from existing clients
- Achieve collection targets from given set of customer operations
- Work closely with the sales department to identify and optimize growth opportunities
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Drive Operations excellence – meet agreed SLAs foreach client contract
- Lead monthly performance review meetings with our clients
- Monitor performance metrices through MIS – update Tripplo Leadership team on contract performance
- Responsible for the planning and management of the budgets and forecasts for resourcing
- Develop and operationalize tools to monitor and improve business performance
- Leverage data to analyse, identify and support recommendations for growth
- Perform quality controls and monitor operations KPIs
- Increase quality of customer service
Strategic Alliances
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Build transport partner base
- Grow truck productivity on the Tripplo platform – number of trips per month per truck on the platform
🎓 Key Requirements
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as Operations Manager or similar role
- Entrepreneurial thinking, with a proven track record implementing innovative ideas, processes or products
- Load Planning and Execution experience
- Proven transport, fleet and deliveries management experience
- Experience in contract and SLA Management
- Budgeting and Forecasting experience
- Effective management of people
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Good communication and administrative skills
- Effective leadership competencies
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Experience working in a start-up or high-growth business preferable.
